NOTES: This record was a long
time coming. Some of the material on this record had been recorded
5 times over the course of 3 years(not with me, thank god) .
This was an interesting record, because roughly half the record
was the band and the other half was the band writing in the
studio.
YOU WOULDN'T BELIEVE: When we were
finishing the record, the other producer and I had a disagreement
about one note on the windchime track that halted production
for two weeks. Diplomacy ensued, and the record was finished
two weeks later.
MY FAVORITE THINGS: My string arrangment/sequences/ebow
track in "Anyway". The analog synth part in
the title track. A very conceptual piece. We had some great
atmospherics in this record....backwards vocals & drums,
synth textures......
WHAT I'D CHANGE: I can't really
think of anything we didn't fix in the year this record took.
Wish this record had gone much faster, though. |
